Today, Ferrero Canada distributes Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Kinder, and Tic Tac across the country.
Speaking of Nutella, this iconic spread is celebrating a global milestone of its own – 60 years! Nutella‘s story is truly one of love and passion. Born from ingenuity in the face of adversity, Nutella’s origins trace back to post-war Italy, where cocoa was scarce. Michele Ferrero, from Italy’s Piedmont region, transformed this challenge into a delicious solution. He crafted a sweet spread using hazelnuts, sugar, and a touch of precious cocoa. This innovation paved the way for Nutella, officially launched in 1964, becoming the world’s first jar of hazelnut and cocoa cream.
Ferrero Canada’s dedication to excellence was further recognized this spring with the ITALY-CANADA AWARD at the 2024 Business Excellence Awards, a recognition of their contributions to fostering strong economic and cultural ties between Italy and Canada.
