As part of promotional initiatives to support the agricultural sector, the Rome Chamber of Commerce has always paid the utmost attention to the Competitions PREMIO ROMA, through a series of initiatives to support businesses in the sector.
The “Premio Roma Evo” competition for the best oils of Rome and Lazio represents one of the fundamental pieces of the program to enhance the olive-olive production chain. The competition, which also operates as a regional selection of the national Ercole Olivario competition, reaches its 32nd edition this year, an important milestone and an appointment particularly appreciated by the companies of the region which, increasingly numerous, participate with enthusiasm, distinguishing themselves for the quality and authenticity of the presented product.
The operational implementation of the Competition is managed by Sviluppo e Territorio, Special Agency of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, with the technical-scientific support of Agro Camera.
The Competition aims to: promote the best cheeses from different areas of the territory of Rome and Lazio to promote their knowledge and strengthen their presence in national and foreign markets, rewarding quality products that can at the same time achieve consumer appreciation; to bring out the most innovative cheeses from the territory of Rome and Lazio while encouraging a comparison between local companies and those outside the territory; to stimulate cheesemakers towards a path of constant improvement of product quality in order to intercept diversified eating styles; to encourage the development of startups and, more generally, youth entrepreneurship in the sectors of interest.
The evaluation of the products is entrusted to a jury of professional tasters from ONAF and takes place strictly anonymously. Sensory education and product knowledge experiences are organized during the competition, dedicated in particular to the world of school and professional education. Furthermore, an action to raise awareness of food and wine quality among opinion makers and stakeholders is planned. The activity will focus in particular on the products of the awarded companies in the province of Rome.
The Competition aims to: promote the best breads and baked goods from different areas of the territory of Rome and Lazio to promote their knowledge and strengthen their presence in national and foreign markets, rewarding quality products that can at the same time achieve consumer appreciation; to bring out the most innovative baked goods from the territory of Rome and Lazio while encouraging a comparison between local businesses and those outside the territory; to stimulate bakers towards a path of constant improvement of product quality in order to intercept diversified eating styles; to encourage the development of startups and, more generally, youth entrepreneurship in the sectors of interest.
The Competition is promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, through Sviluppo e Territorio, Special Company for the development and growth of Rome and the Lazio region, in collaboration with the Special Company Agro Camera and the regional chamber system.
The main objectives of the Competition are:

The Special Agency represents the operational tool of the Chamber of Commerce of Rome created to strengthen the potential of the economic system and intervene, in a more efficient and effective way, in the services rendered in favor of the companies of Rome and of the other provinces of Lazio.
Sviluppo e Territorio pursues the following main objectives:
a) carries out initiatives in favor of enterprises aimed at promoting and supporting preparation for international markets and the processes of community integration of enterprises and territories;
b) carries out initiatives aimed at the promotion, knowledge and dissemination of activities and resources related to the tourism sector, as well as the enhancement of products and services of local companies also through the organization and participation in fairs, sector exhibitions, incoming activities, workshops;
c) carries out monitoring and observatory functions of the regional economy, of the legislative activity of the Region in economic matters, participates in tables, meetings, hearings proposing strategic-planner solutions;
d) promotes the use by economic operators, professionals and consumers of ADR and arbitration tools
