On March 11, 2023 the best extra-virgin olive oil of Lazio will be awarded during a ceremony in the city of Rome by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, through its Special Agency Development and Territory, for the development and growth of Rome and the Lazio region.
The Roma EVOO Award is a competition to recognize the best extra-virgin olive oils produced in the Lazio region of Italy. It is promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Lazio Region, sector associations, and other Chambers of Commerce in the region.
The aim of the competition is:
- – to promote the best extra-virgin olive oils from areas with national and/or European recognition (DOP and IGP) or from the different areas of the territory of Rome and Lazio to strengthen their presence in foreign markets, choosing and indicating the quality oils that can achieve the appreciation of consumers,
- – to stimulate olive growers and oil mills to improve the quality of their products, and to encourage diversification.
